Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How does your approach and style stand out from other typical photographers?
We are not stuck in a time warp. We approach your day with a fresh and modern style that complements our clients. You will not see us with a big ugly tripod or queuing people up in an assembly line. Our approach to fine art photojournalism is natural and organic. Our style and ideas are born from immersing ourselves in today’s media and by obtaining a fundamental understanding of our client’s vision. We take all of those important factors, use our creative process and love for photography to produce what you can see our exciting and beautiful portfolio:
What if we want to incorporate some traditional pictures for family and friends?
From experience, most people prefer a non-intrusive approach to their day. However, we definitely do accommodate couples that desire to have some straight forward family portraits yet creative and fun bride/groom and wedding party portraits.
Have you ever had to take bride and groom photos before the ceremony?
Yes, absolutely. As part of the pre-wedding day consultation we have with each client, we provide guidance with the wedding photography itinerary. In some cases, it is beneficial to have the bridal party and bride/groom pictures prior to the wedding. This will give you the advantage of being able to spend more time celebrating after the ceremony.
I don’t feel I’m very photogenic. Should I be worried about how this will reflect in the photos?
We have heard this from time to time. This is why we include, as part of any wedding photography package, a pre-wedding consultation and engagement photo shoot. During the pre-wedding consultation, we will talk about the expectations on your day, how we photograph…etc. Our ultimate goal is to put you at ease. The engagement photo session gives you an opportunity to experience being in front of the camera. It also gives us a sense of how much direction you may need so that the photos are very natural. By the time the wedding day happens, you will have a good sense of what to expect. We will have established a good rapport and you will feel and look like a million bucks! At the end of the session, you will have a set of photos that will be cherished for years to come.
Just read this quote from one of our many happy clients:
“…calmed the nerves of the bride-groom, convinced shy flower girls and ring bearers to smile, organized the picture taking of 40+ family members, all the while presenting commendable patience and people skills…”
